Everybody is different. Everybody's body is different. Every woman has the right to agency and the right to decide what works best for their bodies and what period products work best for them.
By working directly with communities we strive to provide access to a wide array of long-term menstrual products to ensure that every woman, young and old, has the best long-term sustainable solution that works for them.
After much research, many conversations, and workshops with women in Khayelitsha, the best and most suitable long-term sustainable solution, which works for them has been the reusable pad.
One set of reusable pads costs R160.
What's included: A set of 3 Super Dry Day Pads and 1 Long Night pad.
This set will last a woman up to 5 years, for the next 5 years she never has to buy another period product.
Part of our mission to find long-term sustainable solutions is to provide women with the agency to choose what is right for them. There are also many factors to consider when it comes to period products, such as Cultural norms and taboos, societal norms, living situations, and stigma. This is why in all of our handouts we continue to offer women the option of single-use pads, which is something that many women are still wanting to use.
